Hello and welcome to my career blog! My name is Alec Zabala, and I am currently a third-year at Cal State University, Fullerton. I’m a communications and advertising major, which so far has been something I’ve been really into. This blog will all all about being a international sales representative. It will give you the ins and outs of everything that you will need to know. Some of my hobbies consist of traveling, going outdoors, exploring new places and cooking. I’m a very personal and eager to meet anyone along the way. I grew with two cultures in my life. My dad being Mexican and my mom being German, I have always been exposed to two different cultures my whole life. This was the start of me being so interesting in different cultures, food, and wanting to see the world. I currently have not been out of the U.S, but I intend on doing a program called Semester at Sea. This is a program where I live on a ship for a semester taking different classes and traveling to 14 different countries along the way. This is one way I want to work towards my career goal of being a International Sales Representative. This will allow me to be able to see how different people live and give me insight how to deal and communicate with people from all over the world. In the mean time I plan on getting a adverting internship that allows me to work with people in different countries. I’m still on the look of the right one, but it will be a steeping stone towards my career path. A little more about myself is that I love meeting new people. No matter where I’m at or the situation I am in, I will always try and make a new friend. One thing I enjoy doing is making friends with people that live abroad like foreign exchange students. This is part of the reasons I chose the career path that I did. I believe that I will be able to make good connections with different companies and the people that are in these foreign companies. I hope my website will give you good insight how I am going to achieve my goals and the steps I am going to take along the way.
